Re: chickweed salad


Bobbi,

The only part of Pokeweed that isn't hugely poisonous is the emerging
growth in very early spring and I think you have to soak or boil it
in changes of water to get rid of whatever it is that is
poisonous...then, supposedly, it tastes something like asparagus.
Think I'd rather have the real thing:-)
