sourwood

good morning, Gene.
I've heard a lot about sourwood...Unfortunately, I have only found one once
and when I went back to get it , it was gone. I have heard great things
about that tree and
am still hunting for one in the Cincinnati area.....at an affordable price. I
usually start with small trees as that is the only way I can get as many as I
so. After I took down many of the mature trees on my lot, I have been trying
to find wonderful ones to
replace them with. As a young tree, the other one that I have that I think
is wonderful
is the black gum. The red coloration this fall has been dynamic. I also
want to get the Sumac that only gets 2' with fragrant flowers called grow
low. I passed it by earlier this fall and have regretted it ever since. The
fall color looked like fire from a distance. I've been struggling to
recreate a shade environment that will not take too long to get there. It's
hard to replace even one mature tree!
