Bob - 'Dirigo Ruffled Feathers' was my Siberian fav. this year
along with your 'Emily Anne' and 'Sweet Little Susie' from Marty
and Jan.
I am not a fan of smaller statured Sibs. but Susie was
outstanding this year and is still blooming but will end today.
One little plant with all those flowers.
John's 'D. Ruffled Feathers' was lovely...the blue was offset by
all those ruffles. Gorgeous. I found a strange insect gnawing
on the falls two nights ago about 8 p.m....darn thing looked
like a FLY....have got to learn more about pests but not
today..have got to weed after 2 days of rain. My back garden
looks so unkempt that it is off limits to everyone but us.
Good bloom here this year especially on Siberians and TBs (of
all things).
We are at peak for Sibs. and TBs. Some more late whites to open
and 'Lavender Stipples' is in colored bud. I think the last TB
will be 'Merlot'.
*Laurie - your unknown blue opened up two days ago (finally) and
is a wonderful Sib. I don't know what it is but know what it
isn't - any of the 100+ varieties I grow! I first thought it was
a Tet. but it is probably a larger flowered Dip. with an
interesting look to it ...
