I had the same problem this year: clump looks fine
and healthy, but there were few if any flowers. Right beside such clumps
others bloomed wonderfully. I had divided last year some of those that
didn't bloom well, so I can't think that is the problem. I tend to blame
it on the fact that we had a freezing temp. one morning, not low and not long,
but it may well have caught several iris at a crucial stage. Others
weren't as far along so weren't affected. True or not? I, too, would
welcome insights.
