Hi Chris,
Holding Sibs in water should not hurt them. It might be the seed-starting mix
was too alkaline for Sibs. I'd use Scott's African VIolet soil with added
Peter's (same outfit)
vermmiculite. I've found the Sibs like about the same ph as the violets.
But who am I to talk...I have plenty of trouble transplanting Sibs
successfully.
