I ordered the special on grape vines from Harry Fields and they arrived about three weeks ago. Unfortunately we had just had a big wet snow fall. SO I took them out of the bag and but them in a bucket of water. Was this the right thing to do. They also sat in the bag for a few days before I could get to them since I was out of town when they arrived. My husband just sat the bag in the corner of the kitchen and waited for me to get back. I know grape vines look like sticks at this stage anyway. Any advise on how to proceed. I am going to try to get them in the ground this weekend. I had a climbing rose bush in with them and it looks worse now that I have moved it from the bucket to the ground. This may have been bad timing for my order, but everything is guaranteed. I was disappointed in only one thing. One of the specials was for poppies and they substituted columbine for them. I really didn't want columbine, but they were pretty cheap to begin with.
