hybrids

-- [ From: nonayobusiness * EMC.Ver #2.3 ] --

If you get the Pinetree catalogue, they list their seeds in two categories:
standard (Open pollinated) and hybrid. All their seeds are very clearly
labeled as far as what they are. I like some of each. The tomato hybrids,
for instance, are great because they are resistant to so many diseases.
Then you don't have to use all kinds of horrible sprays and stuff.

Maybe the thing o the radio was talking about gene splicing, or something
like that. I don't like the idea of scientists putting genes from one kind
of an animal inside another, or from one plant into another, or genes from
an animal inside a plant. And then nobody will tell you what they did,
anyway. Like when they started putting the hormones inside the milk here in
NY state, and if a dairy said that they weren't using it then the state
would come after them?! We still don't know who is using and who is not
putting these chemicals into the milk. What if somebody is allergic to
corn, and there is now corn material growing inside pepper plants? What if
somebody can't eat pigs because of their religion, but now there is a pig
chromosome inside a chicken? What if a person is a vegetarian and now
there are sheep chromosomes inside corn? What if, what if, what
if....anyway, I got some of my seeds, so can spring be far way?
