I looked through the page and it's a very thorough and reasoned
treatment of the subject. They don't directly mention one of the big
causes of the "problem" and that's the amount if money that information
systems professionals (like me) can make if they artificially inflate
the size of the problem. My organization has been through the Y2K
experience with our system and it was, to put it bluntly, fairly
trivial.
But back to gardening. After lunch I plan to go out to the shed and
"prep" my seed flats and my seedling rack. You know, test the lights,
inventory the seed starting mixes, plan which flats will contain which
plants -- that way I won't get any last-minute surprises when I start my
first batch of plants (cabbage, brocolli, onion and parsley) two weeks
from today. I decided to start a little early this year because the
weather has been exceptionally mild.
