There is no question about it, you must ensure your soil is well
ballanced, all over the garden!! I still believe in the "dig for
victory" attitude and later this month and in October I will be
digging my veggie patches over and incorporating compost and leaf
mould. I will move my polytunnel after the digging and grow some
winter salad crops, if I can!!

to achieve a good, well balanced growing medium, I recommend "The Bio
Friendly Gardening Guide" by Dr.D.G. Hessayon. You can buy this
anywhere.
