Some months ago I posted a message asking for
info about this plant. Got an answer, but managed to lose it in one of my PC
crash downs... :-(
Our stock comes from Holland, where it is grown
and offered by several tree & shrub specialists in the Boskoop
region.
This is a slow, low growing evergreen bush, with glossy
elongated leaves that do not look much to normal C. kousa, so I wonder if the
plants are correctly named. It is flowering for the very first time this year,
its flowers looking similar to the nearby -and rare; still looking for
information about it- Cornus hongkongensis. The new growths also show some
reddish coloration, similar to the later.
Will somebody in the list could give me more info about these
two special dogwoods?
Jose
