I didn't mean to be critical. One of my MG jobs is to keep track of all the
plants in our display gardens and make sure they are properly labeled, so I
do have to scout around to correct names. When you mentioned your RHS book,
were you refering to the Index (orange dustcover)? I think it is dated
1995, but I still rely on it over other sources. Do you know if there is an
updated version? There have been a lot of changes over the last ten
ears - which is one of the reasons, I suppose, that AHS put out a new
edition last year. It would really be nice if the official board of
taxonomists (can't recall the name just now) would provide a user-friendly
website. I've been to the site they have and it's just too much to muddle
through and way over my head.
I don't know if or how often the online RHS list is updated. I'd like to
know if it is more current than the printed Index. They aren't the same.
