I have 3 pink-flowering Locusts and love them. Haven't experienced any suckering but I don't know the species. They are just leafing out and starting to bloom here in San Diego...beautiful!!!

One of my favorite trees is my Robinia pseudoacacia 'Purple Robe' Does anyone have any experience with any of the other pink flowering locust cultivars/species such as 'Idaho' or hartwigii. I know some of them are prone to suckering, so I would certainly want to avoid those.
