Baptisa

Watching some of the perennials out here stand up to the heat and humidity, the drought we had earlier. One of the outstanding perennials I have here is Baptisa. Both australis, the false blue, and B.pendula, the white blooming behave as though nothing out of the usual is going on. They are quite large plants and require mostly sun, but I like them enough to see that my wife has them in her gardens. They are also slow to bulk up to a good show.
Is anyone growing these or any of the other species? How about some of the newer cultivars such as Purple Smoke or or Caroliana Moonlight???
