Re: Brooding about relationships in the industry

Amen, Andrew!   I am reminded of the year when Flower Carpet roses came out - I would read the press releases about what a diesese-free rose 
this was, then go into the garden center and unload a truck filled with Flower Carpet roses that arrived fully infected with blackspot. 

Am I influenced by a prompt response from a source? Absolutely.  I am even more influenced when someone allows me to try the plant/product so 
that I can speak and write from experience, and the greater the experience the more likely I am to report it.  When Simply Beautiful sends me six of 
each plant to try, I can place those plants in a garden setting, and take photos that are way more impressive than a shot of one plant in a pot.  Am I 
more likely to use those photos for my articles/presentations/website?  Sure.  Generosity breeds generosity.
