Re: Trash

How long has Photoshop been used? Birds and Blooms and their farm/country
mag had rich, vivid color and fairly clear photos back in the 35 mm film
days and perhaps even when most people were using Instamatics. I never could
figure out how they did that.

"Photoshop I" came out in 1990. I was working shortly thereafter at an
advertising agency that wrote corporate newsletters, newspaper layout ad
campaigns, magazine glossies, year end reports, and corporate in-house
communications. You talk about an industry seeing it's own death! Desktop
publishing/editing cut business revenues 92% in two years. But I really got
an education in the power of the digital revolution. Although I continued
to take 35mm for a few years, I also took bracketed shots with my new Sony
Cybershot (1996) Wow. Was that only 14 years ago???

I left "Mad Men" quickly and graduated to the greener pastures of
horticulture :-)
