Re: [GWL]: newspapers
Gene: I couldn't agree more. When the local paper dumped me no one was left
except the so-called garden editor, who knows less and less about gardening,
a Master Gardener who doesn't get paid by the paper who answers questions,
and the one renegade who used to write only about vegetables, moved out of
the area to northern California, and now writes about everything--he also
signed the all-rights and forever contract with the San Diego paper (who
dumped a bunch of us). So I've concentrated more on travel writing, although
I still do one newspaper.
