Re: Going digital - projectors

Amen! Graham
I never assume anything. Whatever happens it reflects back upon me, so I make sure I am prepared to deliver. Everything I need from a small screen, projector and extra bulb, heavy duty extension cords, slide trays stays and projector table in the van. Most orgs are, at the least, part volunteer. Even professional orgs goof.. last time someone forgot to fill out and file the proper paper work to have the projector set up in the booth. Weekend and no one to contact at the last moment. Usual one is no can find a way to darken the room set aside for the presentation.
Just so we are all having a good time:-)

I always try to take along my own slide projector, even if the venue is providing one. Mostly, it stays in the car but just once in a while (like when a venue has no spare bulbs for its own projector - or when the operator drops theirs on the floor!) it saves the day.

Of course, this is OK in the UK where I drive everywhere - flying areound the US is a little different.
