Re: sponsorship


I'm all for lack of corruption but not to grab someone with your  
expertise when you are on the doorstep smacks of cutting of the nose  
to spite the face. Money is obviously more easily found in New York  
than in other parts of the world so they can afford to do it. Here in  
Ireland our public broadcasting is supported by a mixture of  
advertising and license fee -  the base is too small for license fee  
alone. RTE have their own marketing department but if I do work for a  
commercial station they would usually ask me for ideas about  
sponsorship - likewise with gardening articles for small local papers  
where nationals do t heir own selling
