If you take their money, you follow their rules. I don't see that as being 
unethical. So what is preventing an organization from buying some Roundup 
off the shelf and conducting research funded by one of the many, many 
organizations who hate Monsanto? Has that been done? No non disclosure 
agreement. Unless, of course, it doesn't demonstrate what the funders want 
it to demonstrate.
