Hi,
Make that 33 years without a "cool" summer in MD!!!  If I'd known it was
going to be so cool I would have planted some cool crops for summer!!!  I
have tons of green tomatoes and have only harvested one!! Everything else is
going great and I haven't had to water in 2 months.
Can anyone tell me what to do with butternut squash?  I have several but
have never cooked it before.  The zucchini and acorn are great this year
(lots of it). I only planted 2 seeds of each and have enough to feed an
army. Guess I'll have to pull them out to stop them from producing.
The only thing that hasn't produced any fruit yet are the canteloupes.
Maybe just slow from the cool weather.
This is my first year sqft (even tho' I've had the book since 1986!) Never
had the inclination or energy.  I love it but have learned a lot of what to
do and what not to do!
The only down side to our weather this year is it is prime growing weather
for the WEEDS!!
