Earwigs are awful and can do a mess in the garden. An eeasy trap is to take a short piece about 5-6 inches of 2x4 or 2x3 and drill some 1/4 holes in them. Leave them in the garden and the Earwigs WILL move in. Pick em up and drop the wooden blocks in a pail of soapy (dish soap)water, deader than hell in no time flat. A soap spray works really when sprayed on contact.
