Hi - I just harvested my first tomatoes and cucmbers - my tomatoes have huge cracks - fissures - virtual canyons in them - am i doing something wrong? also my first cucumber was intensly bitter - did i harvest too early - it was several inches long - also im in philadelphia (rooftop garden, squarefoot is really handy for conserving space) i dont know what zone im in but i just planted basil and bush bean from seed 2 weeks ago (filling in empty squares from harvested lettuce and broccoli) - is this wishful thinking, is it too late in the season for basil or beans from seed in philly? thanks alot for any help, Mark Gibson *************************************************************************** To unsubscribe, send to: listserv@umslvma.umsl.edu the body message: unsubscribe sqft See http://www.umsl.edu/~silvest/garden/sqft.html for archive, FAQ and more.
