Re: hubbard squash, was sqft mail list
When I get one I use a hack saw to cut that tough monster in
half. I throw out all seeds and wrap half for the freezer. The
other half I cook up and store part of it in the reefer. A week or
so later I move the frozen half to the veggie bin to slow thaw for a
few days before cooking it. I am not crazy about the flavor but have
a hard time refusing free food:>) If anyone has any recipes which
tend to disguise the natural flavor I might grow to like them and
plant a couple.
