Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Just now I was looking at this web site that I just discovered.
http://echonet.org/Technotes/AboveGround.html
Quite fascinating! It is not lasagna beds as such, but I would say quite
similar.
I have a 1/3 acre of fill - gravel... - that was poured over the remains of
torn down houses. I spent the day wondering how to have raised beds over it
and found this site. You may find it quite interesting. It's a shallow bed
method for rooftop gardens, etc... The material used to fill it is what you
were just discussing. I think I'll give it a try, as a 6" deep raised bed.
If you will, let me know what you think of it. The part I don't understand
too well is where they mention using polyester cloth underneath to serve as
a wick for water.
Best wishes to all.
Fran.
