Thank you! I try --- you ought to see me cry when the seeds don't come up
or when the plants die instead of thriving. Truly piteous, though my
husband laughs as I mourn my dead "babies."
I didn't phrase myself correctly. I should say that I plant according to
those moon phases you described. Some plants do better when put in the soil
during a new moon and some go in at first quarter. Many of the ones I plant
at full moon have to do with religious reasons rather than the plant itself.
I practice an alternative religion and want those particular plants --- my
medicinals and the ones I need for my workings--- to be blessed by the
nature deity, who is strongest during the full moon.
*shrug* Not at all scientific for those particular plants but I still get
better plants. Maybe it's just my green thumb; I can get virtually anything
to thrive, including things that aren't supposed to grow well in this soil
and zone like carrots and watermelons.
