We
were very pleased to introduce 'Woolong' for Jim in 2002. We also grow the
species, I. tectorum and I. tectorum alba, I. tectorum variegata (the real
thing, not the beautiful variegated I. japonica which is tender here),
'Freckletec' and 'Sun Moon Lake'. We have another collected Taiwan tectorum
that we hope to compare to SML next year to see if it is sufficiently different
to be introduced. I hope so, cause it's the best grower of all that we have. Not
as large as 'Woolong' but grows like kudzu. Also, we grow 'Paltec', a 1928
pallida x tectorum introduction and a very good grower, and have several of Tom
Silvers interspecies crosses that we hope to intro in the coming years.
We
also grow over 10 I. cristata and just received I. formosana this year.
Robert, do you really know of a pink form of
tectorum?
