Re: HYB: Seedlings - Melb Flower Show

Wendy, Wendy

Didn't you notice all the other dedicated buyers who had taken their
shopping trollies/trundlers. I had to be more circumspect. Les had jokingly
demanded that I leave all credit cards at home.(Couldn't have bought his
trowels if I had) So I limited myself to about 10 iris plants and some
daffodils. I have a very large weakness for pink daffodils. My credit cards
were kept relatively safe by the lateness of the season, as most bulb places
had only excess stock left, so there wasn't a huge range of pinks that I
didn't have. Hancocks always come to the Royal Adel Show in Sept with all
their specy pink daffs in bloom. But because I can't actually buy I on the
day, I often don't get around to ordering. There's something about being
able to take it home the moment you see it.
