Theresa,
Griff's right about old railroad ties, but be very careful about using
newer ones. They leach something into the soil that kills everything
nearby. And that is the voice of (sad) experience. Our gardens had been
built some years ago using RR ties, and so when I wanted to expand I
bought some more to keep everything looking the same. What a disaster!
