Same here. Twice over the years, notes on pods have said 'seeds all look bad', one had 100% germination. Tiny little wretchedly deformed things. Not sure, but sometimes I think the big lumpy fat seeds have some of the worst germination.

Trouble is, unless you compare pinching with non-pinching, several stalks each cultivar each way, we won't know what to make of the results. And that's a lot of work!
