Beth, my versicolor is in a rather wet position, so I can't speak to its
dryness tolerance, but I. virginica is thriving for me in a mixed bed dry
enough I have to hose in water through the summer. This bed is also
"watered" by the air conditioner condensation run-off drain, but the
virginica sits behind the drip and so probably does not benefit.
