OT: Master Gardener

Here in WI one must do a certain number of community service
hours in a gardening related area to maintain Master
Gardener status (after aforementioned classes).  That
*usually* translates to sitting at garden centers once a
month giving advice as to plat Identification or offering up
why something is sick or has died . . . . the best one I
came in contact with was the man who planted his strawberry
plants with the foliage in the ground and the roots upright,
wondering why they were dying . . . . .
