Hi Kelly,
The most plausible explanation is that the picture is not accurate.
Putting any type of color concentrated object on to film or in digital
format does not do the object justice. All it can do is give you an "idea"
of what the object really looks like. Some people take more care with their
photography than others, and sometimes the picture is not the right
cultivar. Mistakes do happen.
IMO, the best way to know if you really like something is to either see
it in person, or take a chance and grow it for yourself. I know what colors
I like, all shades included, and I pick within my color tastes, usually one
of each :)
