You will find that bearded irises are some of the most drought-resistant 
garden flowers there are. We are also very hot, very dry here in upstate NY. The 
down side is that the irises are not increasing very well. The plus side is 
that leaf spot and rot are very, very rare this year. I like to look at the plus 
side!
