What to visit in Oz?

Hi there,

We are planning a short trip to Australia in late September, and would welcome suggestions for horticultural/botanic visits.
Work takes us to Canberra, Melbourne & Sydney, where I am looking forward to revisting the Botanic gardens, but would love to hear of any other recommendations.

When our business is done we hope to have about a weeks holiday, and havent decided in which direction to go. I know that there are amazing wild flowers in SW Australia, but havent yet been able to pinpoint where exactly. Does anyone have particular recommendations?

On the intrepid traveller scale my husband & I would average out between us at around about 7-8 I would say.
