Asking about plants.

Actually, I'm quite flattered when someone stops to ask questions about my
yard.  I'll admit, I have a few "oddballs" and many of them don't even have
common names, but I'm usually happy to bend their ear for a while to tell
them about the plant, where I may have collected it, etc.
