We have armadillos here in zone 6 in Southern Missouri. We are about 35
miles from the Arkansas line in the central part of the state. The
armadillos have just been coming up in the last few years. We don't usually
see them except on the side of the road dead but the last two years they
have been coming up in our yard and they can do a lot of damage in a garden.
The;y forage at night so we don't usually see them although one was in the
garage one night but it got away. There seems to be nothing that deters
them. I guess I will be forced to get a large dog. Not that I don't like
dogs, I just don't want one.
