Jenny,
A well kept compost pile will have temps that get hot enough to kill
the seeds, so you would be able to throw that stuff right in. However, if you
are concerned that your pile will not reach those high temps, then the answer
to your question is yes. You will have stuff growing out of your compost. My
suggestion to you is be sure that all yard waste is dead and dried up before
you compost it.
