Re: Plant finder

Nan,

I don't know about a search engine, but I saw a gorgeous Weigela florida
today at Lowe's. Will have to update you in a few days about which W. f.
it is, but it has very, very dark burgundy foliage. I would have bought
one, but it takes full sun, and my sunny garden is very small (most of
my garden space is shade) and I have nowhere to put it :-( My books say
W. f. is good to zone 10, so don't know if this would work for you or
not.

As far as the Pirella - I bought one late last year and let it self seed
so I would have more this year (it's an annual). Well, I have lots of
little babies. Just some FYI/or warning so you can decide about
deadheading. It is pretty - very, very dark. Both these plants are about
the same color.
