Re: Hosta


With all the grand flowering perennials that are being discussed I wonder if
the perennials that have outstanding foliage ie; Hosta are often over looked.
There are so many outstanding varieties of Hosta on the market today
everything from small ones that are suitable for very small containers to huge
ones that have flower spikes to 5' plus and such a wide range of colors. One
of my favorites is 'Gold Standard'. I have it in a ornamental planter on my
deck, it adds great contrast with it's green margins and yellow centers. It
adds light to a rather green spot on the container planting. With some care
most Hosta plantings can be slug free. What about other Hosta nuts like me,
what do you think about Hosta's
