I was going to use a "peony cage" not a "peony hoop." A peony cage is
similar to a tomato cage except that it's shorter (2 rings instead of 3)
and wider. It should allow the cranesbill to keep a nice mounded shape.
It certainly works well with peonies. The only problem is that I have to
install the cage long before the plant needs it.
But I'll bite--what is "pea staking?"
