Why does it go dormant
earlier if it doesn't produce fruit? Is it the lack of berries and some
chemical/hormone/??? that's missing, or is it the young age of the plant,
that causes this to happen? Is this true of other perennials too? I
have one blue cohosh that I transplanted from my Grandma's woods 2 years
ago. I hate to admit that I don't know if it produced berries or not last
summer, but I'll for sure look THIS summer!
