Nan,
My husband heard almost everything, and very calmly said we would
take care of it. He is a very patient man, but afterwards expressed
annoyance: "You know, there was no need for him to be so threatening. We
would have offered to take care of everything no matter how he behaved."
The neighbor is obviously upset about something, but I can't understand
how he could forget giving his permission.
