If I remember correctly, the Mass Hort Society originally owned Horticulture
Magazine and about 20 years ago or so sold it to a private group. I remeber
my disappointment when that happened and felt that the magazine changed at
that time and not for the better. It appears that the management of the
society has been lacking for years. Truly sad.
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has a magazine Green Scene and
recently changed policy ," subscriptions to members only". Okay for me today
as I'm near enough to take advantage of numerous wonderful benefits, but no
doubt they lost many subscribers out of the area as the membship is $40 per
year vs the ? $16 for mag only. Not sure what the stategy their was. And
they have a wonderful library; hope they don't sell it..........
