Hi Barb, Marie, Janice, and Marilyn
I had planned on calling my e-mail provider or the perennial list
tomorrow. I planned on telling them "the check is in the mail" or I
promise to do better in the future and not commit any infracture against
any e-mail or perennial list rules--JUST SEND ME MY PERENNIAL LIST
E-MAIL---NOW---
It certainly sounds like you have all been busy prepairing your beds for
fall. I have also. altho my canna's were still beautiful I squeezed
shut my eyes and sawed them off near the ground--dug up the tubers
cleaned them the best I could and have them in the barn on cardboard
drying. I have even begun to dig out the marigolds and other
annuals--even tho they continue to bloom. I know from past experiences
that one day VERY soon frost and rain will descent upon us and cleaning
up my beds will be twice as difficult.
Marie, I borrowed "The Well Tended Garden" from my local branch library.
I'm sure you will enjoy the book--I didn't read the entire book but
scanned through reading here and there. Just not enough time in the day.
I would like a show of hands--how many of you have beautifully manicured
hands--long finger nails ect. Well how many of you even polish your
nails --mine look just right for Holloween now all I need is a black
cape and pointed hat and long gray wig.
I really enjoy all of your comments!
Dee Ann from southern Indiana
