Re: Soggy Soil

Dear Al,
   My patch is still too cold to plant also, but not quite as cold as yours.
The last snow has been gone for a couple weeks now. I took a soil temperature
the other day and it was 45 degrees. There is no sense in planting when
conditions are that bad. I will watch the extended forecast and hopefully
start my seeds within the next week. Plants subjected to 30 degree nights and
60 degree days, don't grow anyway. Hopefully we will see some 70's next week.
For growers who haven't planted yet.....don't fear.....you can transplant up
until mid May and still have plenty of time.
