[SG] Hosta Endurance

Endurance is not the name of a hosta...no, but it must be one of the
plants' qualities. I've just taken a break from pulling the never-ending
weed population that shows up this time of year, and must tell you what I
discovered.
Last year I planted many seedlings outdoors, and my method of doing this
entails unpotting the seedlings and placing them all together in a shallow
pan containing water in order to keep the roots moist while awaiting their
turn at being given a home in the ground.
It seems that I had run out of room, or energy....probably both and had
left several bare-root seedlings in this pan. They remained there all
winter with no attention....I had forgotten about them. Now, it seems,
they are coming to life! Leaves had covered them in that pan, as nature
tends to these things, and now they are popping up out of that pan into the
two leaf stage! These babies are either Green Piecrust, or Ryan's Big One
seedlings. Can you beat that?!?
