Bobbi and Marge,
I have been growing Microbiota decussata for a number of years and have
several plants. I highly recommend it for low light areas. My original
plant is about 6 years old and is growing in an area under an oak that gets
about an hour or two of morning light. It is not a really fast grower under
low light, but has a nice, steady rate that probably won't get out of hand
over time.
I bought about six more to put out in a little sunnier area that was too
shady for chamys and they are doing great with a faster growth rate. Seem to
take a lot of abuse (deer trampled all over one and moles heaved one out of
the soil when they were young). Mine don't get much supplemental watering
and are looking really nice.
