Re: String Beans over?? Reply

To continue the bean discussion, I kept the pole beans well-picked and thus
expected them to keep producing. They did, for a period of about two weeks.
 Now, almost nothing.

The bush beans were a great disappointment. I remember reading that bush
beans were only developed for large-scale farming, because the culture and
harvesting are more suited to this. Pole beans are supposed to be more
prolific, and they were, but not over a long period.

I am concerned with getting higher yields on everything. Is it more
fertilizer? I'm in So Cal and have great growing conditions and months and
months of growing season (although not the best soil).
