Hallo Peter,

The green is on the peat/sand mix it almost look slimy. It is where the drops from condensation drips each time this green patch forms.

Candy floss is auf Deutsch Zucker watte so sieht the mold nfhmlich aus zu mir.

Alles gute

Hi Doret,
if you can provide some pics it would help. Are the green patches on the peat/sand mixture or on the containers?
Look here: http://www.baumfarn.at/treefern/viewtopic.php?t=32
This was my very first attempt on treeferns, it took over a year (think the spore where old or not ideal soil/humidity) but they sprouted. During this long time I was more than once nearly to throw the whole thing in the litter. God thanks I didn't do it! ;-)
I also noticed that not every mold *is* mold. Sorry, candy floss I don't know. Google neither : http://images.google.at/images?q=candy%20floss&hl=de&lr=&sa=N&tab=wi

PS. Don't be afraid of german! Use english wherever you want!
