The green is on the peat/sand mix it almost look slimy. It is where the drops from condensation drips each time this green patch forms.

Candy floss is auf Deutsch Zucker watte so sieht the mold nfhmlich aus zu mir.

This was my very first attempt on treeferns, it took over a year (think the spore where old or not ideal soil/humidity) but they sprouted. During this long time I was more than once nearly to throw the whole thing in the litter. God thanks I didn't do it! ;-)
