Re: My Monet Weigela


I wonder if part of the problem people are experiencing -  haven't  
tried it myself because I'm not normally keen on variegation -  is  
the genetic health of this plant. Variegation in weigela florida  
stems from a viral infection and My Monet is dwarfed as well. A plant  
that has been bred to have a weak constitution is likely to take a  
great deal more care in the growing than its more robust relatives.   
I'm afraid I class plants like this with miniaturised dogs etc. and  
avoid them.
